the mood of food

I really love grocery stores. Working in one might be sorta cutting into that love a bit, but shopping for food, as an extension of eating food, is still truly one of my favourite activities. Back in high school, friends and I used to make 4:00am runs to the biggest supermarket we could find to procure some of the mysterious tropical fruits. I've tried just about all of them: cherimoya, kiwano, etc. Grocery shopping in foreign countries, say for instance the ubiquitous basement markets of El Corte Inglés in España, is pretty much the gold crown experience for me.
The Life Aquatic came out today. I purchased and watched it. Fantastic film. After that I took Di grocery shopping. It's kinda weird, but one of the things I like most about Di is how often she needs something from the grocery store. I already love going there, but getting to shop with a girl is a rare treat. I think it makes me feel all growed up... I guess I've always looked forward to the first time I get to buy groceries with a girl and take them back to our home. This emulates that.
She randomly brought up this incident today... I'm not sure if that means she's found my blog or not.

I guess I didn't state that clearly: I got confirmation today that it WAS two girls getting it on that we heard that night.

Heh. Sweet.
If you guys lived near whole foods, you'd be so insanely in love... whole foods is sex.

Yeah... I'll never forget that Indian girl employee who bagged my groceries the one time I shopped at Whole Foods. She was so friggen hot that when she talked to me I was like duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh... it was embarassing.

Nope... but if you ever do, make sure you eat it out doors. That shit smells like finding a two week old corpse in a locked, sweltering apartment. So I hear...

Mike was officially done with school forever yesterday. We went and got drunk, and came home and drank some more, in celebration. There was some impromptu karaoke in Jon's room, and Mike raged on the DVDs, throwing them all around the house. I was laughing so hard at drunk Mike I could barely breathe. Good times.

Speaking of DVDs and you fucknuts - I bought some DVDs from the UK, but forgot to change my default address in PayPal, so the DVDs went to 17th ave. Now some crazy hippies have them, or had them, and I have to break in and steal them. Either of you nutters still got a key?
