So I went and got a sammich downstairs, right? Right. And the checkout girl gave me my change, and then quite deliberately looked at me and deadpanned, "Do you need a sack?" (That's right, emphasis on the "sack.") Her coworker did her best to contain herself.
I politely declined, considering I just had one simple prewrapped sandwich to carry.
I giggled the entire walk back through the building. Do you have any idea how hard it was to not say, "No thanks, I have one."
ho ho hogwarts

If you need to download entire websites, or all the images from a website, or all the videos from a website... you could learn wget, or just download Deep Vacuum. I highly recommend it.
Oh, you have an Apple, right?

It's too bad this doesn't support MP3s. When I can stream my Elis & Tom MP3s through this thing realtime so they sound like they are on vinyl, then that'll be something.
ho ho horror

So, I'm watching Cartoon Network. It's the Billy and Mandy Chrimbo special to be exact. They just had a Zombie Santa scream, "I'll swallow your soul!" Right out of Evil Dead. At 7:00 in the evening.
What. In. The. Fuck.
That easily tops when they had a cartoon refer to pooping as "dropping a deuce" at 3 in the afternoon.
I don't see where they get off editing The Goonies.
take that mom

I love it when the snowflakes are huge, and each one falls individually. I think I understand the wool coat now. It seemed a bit odd, because ultimately a coat made of hair could get all wet and nasty. However, wool traps each of the snowflakes, which leather and nylon certainly don't do. I have some paper cutting to do.
Usually we don't get any snow til after christmas... not any that stays around anyway. This is awesome.
rip roaring revelation

final dragon fantasy quest

Holy crap! I just saw a commercial for Dragon Quest VIII, which would be the latest installment of the once Dragon Warrior series that first appeared in the U.S. on the 8-bit Nintendo. It's got amazing cell-shaded cartoony 3D anime graphics. Check out this gallery. Wow, they even still have golems as enemies. They had those in Dragon Warrior I (US), and they even looked roughly the same! So cool. I wish I had a PS2 so I could play it! I'm starting to feel a little weird about how long it has been since I played a new video game. You also get a demo of Final Fantasy XII on the disk because the RPG empires of ENIX and Square merged. Times certainly are a-changing. Incidentally, the boys at Penny Arcade think that FF XII is the worst game ever.
