There's no time to sit and write an entry, so I'll do some links.
First off, is that story about the submarine running aground in the middle of the ocean and this story about mysterious squid beachings some sort of indication of a secret tsunami conspiracy?

Actually, seeing as Reuters is a major news source, I think having the article there counts as it being "in the news." Perhaps you meant "On the news"?

Actually, that was on the news this morning. The 6am news. I was on time for work today.
The protesters were referred to as "anarchists." That made me chuckle.
