eaten by a croc would be cooler

St. Paul people can say whatever they want about Minneapolis, but I wouldn't... because we're upstream.

Also, croickie! Steve Irwin is dead. Impaled by a stingray. Harsh.

Some of the content on the CNN page is kind of odd. "Stingray Facts" ??!?

large rays can exert enough force to drive their tail spines into a wooden boat or Steve Irwin's chest

Too soon?

Finally, Ashley's party was fun. Just ask Paul.

4. Blades don't need reloading.

I just started reading The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks after several recommendations. It took awhile to find in the book store because they had mistakenly put it under "Humour" instead of "Non-Fiction / Reference."

The girl at the register was like "this book is funny because it is written like zombies are actually real," and I just stood there for a moment, quietly pitying her naivety, before I said, "What do you mean? Zombies *are* real."

But before I even started reading, the back cover's Top 10 Lessons For Surviving A Zombie Attack made me realise I've been preparing for an onslaught of undead my whole life.

5. Ideal Protection = tight clothes, short hair.

You thought I wore tight clothes cause I was some dirty hipster. You thought wrong, bitch! And yes, this is why I cut my hair off.

7. Get out of the car, get onto the bike.

See, it wasn't an impulse purchase at all.

My influence extends well beyond the physical plane. I have just made two of my friends leave work before 4:00pm today:

it just keeps getting better

My brother's California wedding means I'll be missing the Zombie Pub Crawl, throw onto that the assholes who stole my Drink Like a Pirate Day thunder, and now just to salt the open wounds, there's "Evil Aliens" showing in the Twin Cities also on the 9th of September.

Writer/director Jake West's (Razor Blade Smile) jaw-dropping sci-fi horror lunacy has had film festival audiences rolling and gagging in the aisles! Gruesome mutilations, anal probing, decapitations and assorted weapons—ranging from cricket bats to chainsaws to rotary tillers and even a combine harvester—are featured in this shocking yet slapstick valentine to films like Aliens, Dead Alive, Phantasm and The Evil Dead. Bound to do for ET's what Shaun of the Dead did for zombies, our advice is prepare yourself for a bloody Close Encounter!

If my brother gets a divorce I will fucking kill him.

vikings' sex cruise

Aug 27, 2006 @ 01:53

Anybody who was anybody was on the sold-out Attitude City sex cruise tonight on Lake Minnetonka. I'm tellin' yas, buy your tickets for next year right now. The music was rad, the boat was long, the drinks were wet, the spiders were many... Hell even Paul's co-worker with the scary hair cut was on the boat. I guess Jesse is in Vegas, so that's a decent excuse.

a mr. burns style "excellent!"

This news about a Flash C64 emulator is most exciting. (That's 64K not 64-bit.) The best part: "it's all open source and extensible so you could quite easily go ahead and write an emulator for *your* favourite eightbitter (NES, Apple ][, Atari 2600, BBC, you name it)."

That's exactly why I'm so stoked. I've got all this old DOS software I wrote back in the day... way back i the day... that would be really awesome if I could throw it up on the interlink. I've always wanted to catalogue and archive my works on the web, but I wouldn't want to have to download and install an emulator for every platform I've ever built something on just to play with it again.
