borrow and spend

Mar 13, 2006 @ 13:40

Lots of Debt... thanks BushI like Senator Kent Conrad. He's got really big novelty charts. Like this one here that shows the $1 trillion in debt the first 42 presidents, collectively, accumulated. Then there's Bush, and the 2 or 3 trillion dollars in debt that he's racked up in just five years. That's debt America owes to foreign countries like China, Japan, South Korea...

Conrad said that Democrats are called "tax and spend" politicians, but Republicans are "borrow and spend." He must have said, "borrow and spend, spend and borrow," at least five times.

Conrad also pointed out that our deficit will grow every year under the Republicans' "Deficit Reduction Plan," using more giant novelty charts of course.

The sith asks a good question: How much do all those charts cost? They should switch to PowerPoint and that would cut a hundred thousand off the budget right there.

300,000 Marched in Chicago Friday. Why Doesn't Anyone Know?

I wish I knew how to organise something like that.

constant confirmation

Mar 10, 2006 @ 23:34

My ideas continue to pop up, further confirming that they were good ideas, and that I'm never, ever going to have enough time to do even one of them before somebody else does.

If anybody needs me I'll be in my own personal hell. Please knock before entering.

i told you so, bitches

The ongoing theme of me being A) always right and 2. a visionary whose ideas are always i. ahead of the times and b. genius because somebody else eventually realises it and does it ... continues. Run on sentence.

I wrote a letter to Apple telling them they dropped the ball by not doing video game podcasting on their new iPod Video.

Since then there have been several developments. Most importantly the continuing development of Linux for the iPod which has allowed for iPod Doom and an iPod MAME arcade cabinet.

See, if you have MAME and Doom, your favourite level designers for pacmac or zelda or doom or whatever could push new levels down to your iPod every day for you to play. Or entire games. It is brilliant.

And, the rumor is, Apple caught on and is making an iGame.

we're so softcore

People have turned into such pussies. Seriously. We used to protest by overtaking Dinkytown buildings and cool shit like that.

Hippies were so much more hardcore. And that's weak.

i love you internets

Mar 7, 2006 @ 11:30

So I wanted to hear some William Shatner on the Radio K, but the DJ told me:

just played yesterday, sorry. something else?

Of course, I responded as anyone would. I told the DJ that the Shatner cannot be detained by these mortal music rules and their finite limitations. The Shatner is the Alpha and the Omega!

So, what's a Xopl to do? He's gotta hear his Shatner. I went onto the internets, trying to figure out how I could hear it for free. I found this Radio.Blog.Club website, typed in William Shatner ... low and behold, there it was! Common People! Listening right now.

I <3 you, Internets.
