Man, they keep guilting me at MPR by introducing me to new people and saying, "He's a great addition to our team. We're so glad to have Xopl."
Anyway, I'm finally getting around to posting what happened at work the other day. Enjoy the following emails:

I've been here for 13 years and nobody has ever been fired from MPR for "blogging," as far as I know.
But there's always a first time.

Doing the math, I don't know if you can count your first 2 years. I don't think a whole lot of people were blogging on the dubya-dubya-dubya in 1993.
I love it when companies post jobs that require like "6+ years xyz web experience, 4+ years in a web position with xyz requirement, at least 2 years doing blah on the web" and you add it up and it comes out to be like 1987. I have actually seen this.

As a genius in new media pointed out. Blogs used to be called Web pages.
It's just a medium. It's not the content.

At this point I looked up BC to find out he was "the longest-serving editor in the history of MPR, having joined the company in 1992".

I agree with BC. That person, who I don't know and certainly isn't me, over in new media is a genius. Quite handsome I'd add.
