Well, I finished all my tax forms, and I feel bad about some of the things I've said.
I take back all the bad things I said about the government.
I take them back, and I'm turning capitalist. Long live this great country. Long live tax returns!
(Don't worry, this will only last until I get screwed next tax season where I'll have an actual full year income.)
(Well, unless I get fired.)

I fucking LOVE Reverend Dr. Joseph Lowery! GOD do I love him! Romantically. Yes, that kind of love.
"[Coretta Scott King] deplored the terror inflicted by our 'smart bombs' on missions way afar. We know now there were no weapons of mass destruction over there. But, Coretta knew and we know that there are weapons of misdirection right down here. Millions without health insurance. Poverty abounds. For war billions more, but no more for the poor."
-Reverend Dr. Joseph Lowery, at the Coretta Scott King funeral (VIDEO Available)
Our dimwitted President and his wife, Cruella DeVille, were sitting DIRECTLY behind the Reverend while he said this. And the Reverends words were met with a loud, long, thunderous STANDING OVATION.
That must have been some wakeup call for Bush. I hope. God do I hope. I'm sure his sycophants keep him in the dark as to how much of a fuck up he is.

I just came up for a new and better title for that "Grizzly Man" movie.
Seriously, have you seen this thing? It's on TV right now. All I knew about it was that some guy went to live with grizzly bears in order study them or something, and then he gets eaten just off camera.
Sounded like something I didn't want to see... mostly because the guy gets eaten. I tuned in briefly, well before the end... so to speak... just to check it out. I figured it would be safe.
I just watched him cry while petting a fox, asking it to be his friend. Then he cried when a bumble bee stopped moving. Then he cried because a fox had died. Then he had a romantic moment with a pile of poop. Then he screamed at God for some rain.
I gotta say, five minutes in and I'm cheering for the bears.

Every time that Libby Lewis reports on the Lewis "Scooter" Libby trial on NPR from Washington I think to myself, "Couldn't they have found some other reporter who didn't have the exact same name, in reverse order, as the guy she was reporting on?"

It's called Total Information Awareness (TIA). Basically, some guy in Florida who worked for one of those asshole database companies that keeps a record of your phone number and everything you've ever done so that they can try to sell you stuff... well, on September 11, 2001 he watched the towers fall down and decided to run some custom queries on this database of U.S. citizens. He came up with a list of names the government should investigate.
And the government got a hard-on.
