the knock at my door

Our Homeland Security goon Chertoff is at it again. Terrorists abroad aren't the threat. People on the internet in America are the real threat. Like me.

Disaffected people living in the United States may develop radical ideologies and potentially violent skills over the internet and that could present the next major U.S. security threat, U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff said on Monday.

This isn't the first time he's gone down this road.

Now that the President can lock up Americans indefinitely without trial or even bringing charges I'm even more worried about all that listening in they are doing.

You do remember that whole domestic wiretapping and phone record collection thing don't you?

Good thing the same legislation that Bush just signed giving himself despotic powers also gives the thumbs up to torture and secret prisons.

Would it complete the little puzzle for you if I told you about the $385 million dollar contract (your tax money) awarded to Halliburton (Dick Cheney used to be on the board) subsidy KBR to build dentention camps inside the USA.

The contract ... provides for establishing temporary detention and processing capabilities ... [for] the event of an emergency influx of immigrants into the U.S., or to support the rapid development of new programs, KBR said. The contract may also provide migrant detention support to other government organizations in the event of an immigration emergency, as well as the development of a plan to react to a national emergency, such as a natural disaster, the company said.

Why would they need detention camps if there was a natural disaster?

If you don't vote, or if you vote Republican, and I disappear one day.... well, you know what happened.

"What you learned what you read in their books: all they offered. What you saw when they told you to look: a final offer. Well today we are giving birth to a new future. Yes today we are giving birth to our own future. We will learn, we will love, we will work to change each other. We will spread, we will cover the earth like air and water. Tomorrow is blank, we'll just fill it in with our little answers. If we are stopped we'll just start again. That is the new offer. That's it, that is our final one." -Los Desaparecidos

Dan was in town on business so I went to go grab a beer with him. Actually, I grew impatient and called what I thought was his mobile number only to get ahold of his mom. What was funny was when my phone rang with Dan calling me while his mom was still on the line.

My parking spot at the bar was complete with union jack boxers and flowery panties laying on the black top. No, really.

His boss picked up the tab. Sometimes fortune really does smile on me.
